My spiritual journey is an unfolding story of curiosity, fatherhood, migration, discipleship, and revelation. It weaves together the quiet moments, the warning signs, the turning points, and the profound blessings that have shaped my covenant path.
Guiding Principles That Shape My Life
These principles did not come from theory.
They were forged through fatherhood, immigration, long-distance runs, engineering challenges, discipleship, and quiet moments of revelation.
They are the spiritual lenses through which I interpret my life, my work, and my purpose.

Resilience — Enduring with Purpose
Resilience has shaped every chapter of my life.
From weaving raffia fibers by kerosene lamp, to long walks between villages, to navigating educational transitions, to migrating alone to the United States in 2011, resilience taught me to endure with faith rather than despair.
It is the spiritual backbone that carried me from Cameroon to where I stand today.

Courage — Acting Before the Outcome Is Known
Courage is more than strength; it is trust in the unseen.
It helped me take leadership roles as a young student at IUT-FV, move to a new country without family, embrace new professional responsibilities, and undergo a physical transformation that strengthened both my body and my spirit.
Courage gives me the willingness to follow the Spirit even when others may not understand.

Integrity — Living in Alignment With Eternal Truths
Integrity governs every part of my life.
It shapes how I work, how I serve, how I raise my children, and how I worship.
In engineering, it means precision and accountability.
As a father, it means honesty and consistency.
In discipleship, it means aligning my choices with the covenants I have made.
Integrity is stewardship — before God, before family, and before all those I influence.

Compassion — Seeing Others Through Christ’s Eyes
Compassion helps me listen more deeply, serve more generously, and forgive more freely.
It teaches me that leadership is not about position but about lifting others.
Compassion makes my discipleship actionable.

Agency — Choosing With Faith, Not Fear
Agency allows me to shape my life with intention.
My journey is filled with moments where choices became turning points — choosing education over ease, choosing repentance over pride, choosing covenant living over temporary comfort.
Agency is the daily expression of discipleship.

Discernment — Hearing the Whisper of the Spirit
Discernment is the gift that helps me sense warning signs, spiritual promptings, and invitations to grow.
It has protected my family, corrected my path, and clarified my purpose.
Discernment is the anchor of spiritual maturity.

Obedience — Trusting God Enough to Act
Obedience has brought miracles into my life.
From the Word of Wisdom transformation, to the tithing miracle, to the strength that came during my marathon, I have learned that obedience invites spiritual power.
Obedience turns principles into blessings.
​My Conversion Story — From Curiosity to Covenant
I grew up between Baham and Bangou, surrounded by culture, tradition, and community strength. My earliest experiences with Christianity were through my uncle’s family, where attending Catholic Mass planted the first seeds of faith. I didn’t fully understand those feelings, but they stayed with me.
Years later, after arriving in the United States, life presented new responsibilities — especially as a father. The birth of my children awakened a desire to live by principles rather than survival, to create a spiritual foundation they could stand on.
Then came the moment on the metro in 2019 that changed everything.
Two missionaries stood near me after a group run. We spoke briefly, and when I asked, “How do you feel about people who were raised Catholic?” they answered with sincerity:
“We love them.”
That simple expression of Christlike love opened something inside me.
I visited church the following Sunday with my children. The Spirit I felt was familiar, warm, and unmistakable — like finding something I didn’t know I had lost.
The missionaries taught with patience as I wrestled with the Book of Mormon. I resisted, questioned, and tested — but they always responded with gentleness. My heart softened.
Moments of obedience began to reshape me:

destroying all my alcohol after learning the Word of Wisdom

paying tithing despite financial uncertainty

witnessing a debt-free miracle months later

feeling the physical transformation connected to spiritual discipline

running a marathon on General Conference weekend without pain
I was baptized on December 14, 2019.
It marked the end of an old life, the beginning of a new one, and the awakening of spiritual gifts I had never recognized.
One day on the metro, when a friend asked, “How are you?” I answered without thinking:
“I feel as if I am one of His favorites.”
It wasn’t pride — it was gratitude.
Hearing Warning Signs & Spiritual Promptings (Week 5 Reflection)
My journey of discipleship has taught me that the Lord often prepares me through warning signs and quiet spiritual impressions long before I understand the reason.
Some impressions asked me to stop.
Some asked me to change.
Some invited me to act with courage even when others would not understand.
Each one shaped the person I am becoming.
Small Decisions That Became Turning Points
Two moments taught me how the Spirit speaks:
☕ The Coffee Moment
At a gathering, I declined coffee several times before giving in.
Immediately, the Spirit gently corrected me.
Through repentance, I gained clarity, strength, and a deeper desire to align with my covenants.
âš½ The Sabbath Soccer Moment
Friends needed one more player on a Sunday, and I justified the choice.
Afterward, the Spirit asked:
“How do you feel about that choice?”
Repentance brought peace and a renewed respect for the Sabbath.
Both experiences taught me that:

Fatherhood and the Quiet Nature of Leadership
As a father, I have often received impressions others could not see.
I learned that true leadership is often quiet, misunderstood, and lonely—but deeply sacred.
Some choices brought temporary discomfort but long-term blessings.
Some decisions protected my family before I fully understood why.
President Kim B. Clark teaches that leadership is a moral responsibility.
Week 5 helped me recognize that leadership is not only about managing situations—
it is about hearing the whisper of the Spirit and having the courage to act.

Agency as a Divine Gift
Week 4 helped me recognize that agency—the power to act, choose, and become—is one of God’s greatest gifts. Doctrine & Covenants 58:26–28 teaches that we are not meant to be “compelled in all things,” but to act with intention, initiative, and faith.
As I reflect on my life, I can see the hand of the Lord guiding me to use my agency at every turning point:

My life is full of moments where agency shaped my character long before I understood the outcome:

The temple teaches the Lord’s pattern:

In my work as a technician and engineer:

Scriptures That Guide My Journey
These scriptures anchor my discipleship.
Each represents a principle the Lord has repeatedly used to shape my identity, refine my character, and direct my decisions.
1. Doctrine & Covenants 58:26–28 — Agency & Initiative
“Men should be anxiously engaged in a good cause…”
This scripture teaches me the power of righteous initiative — to act, serve, choose, and improve without waiting to be compelled.
It shapes how I lead, learn, and build.
2. Joshua 1:9 — Strength & Courage
“Be strong and of a good courage… for the Lord thy God is with thee.”
This verse helped me migrate, face adversity, and grow with confidence in God’s presence.
Courage becomes real when fear is present.
3. James 1:5 — Seeking Revelation
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God…”
This scripture is foundational to my conversion, my fatherhood, and my professional development.
It reminds me that God cares about both spiritual and temporal decisions.
Revelation is available for every part of life.
4. Mosiah 2:17 — Service as Discipleship
“When ye are in the service of your fellow beings…”
This scripture aligns with my identity as a technician, father, leader, and disciple.
Service is the highest expression of technical skill, spiritual maturity, and leadership.
5. Ether 12:27 — Weak Things Become Strong
“If men come unto me, I will show unto them their weakness…”
This scripture has shaped my repentance, endurance training, emotional growth, and personal transformation.
It reminds me that spiritual strength is built through humility.
Grace turns weakness into strength.
Who I Am Becoming
Every experience, every prompting, every sacrifice, and every act of obedience has shaped who I am becoming:

Testimony
I know that God guides our lives with love, wisdom, and purpose.
I know that Jesus Christ strengthens us, corrects us, and invites us to grow.
I know that the Holy Ghost speaks through warning signs, impressions, peace, and clarity.
The gospel has brought structure to my mind, peace to my spirit, and direction to my life.
I am grateful every day for the restored Church — and for the quiet, powerful ways the Lord continues to shape me.
